October 29 Election In Tanzania Led To Tanzanians Online Campaign To Unfollow Celebrities Across Social Media Platforms. 

Dar es salaam: Tanzanians have started an online campaign to unfollow Tanzanian artists on social media including Instagram. 

Citizens expressing dissatisfaction with their perceived support for the government. This move is reportedly a backlash against artists who endorsed president Samia Hassan. 

Reported that some of the artists facing serious consequences including property damage and life threats. Affected artists includes 

• Billnass : African princess ( Nandy ) husband who had his electronic shop Nenga Tronix set ablaze by protesters. Also Diamond platnumz ( Naseeb Abdul ) deleted posts supporting president Samia Hassan , Harmonize and Ali Kiba who also facing backlash .  

Hence amid of the campaign surrounding, Billnass or Nenga Mafionso he has withdrawn from social media just five days since his shop was vandalized and then burned on October 29 at Dar es salaam. 

Still fans of various artists in Tanzania continue to unfollow their favorite artists for what they call their disgust and anger toward them . 

• Shishi food restaurant vandalized and set on fire by protesters; popular restaurant of famous artist and entrepreneur shilole on October 29 was vandalized and set on fire, the same thing happened to luxury fashion brand of Juma Jux.  

The government chief comforter elected president Samia Hassan on her speech during swearing occasion claimed that protesters were not from Tanzania a thing that is not acceptable to the majority of Tanzanians. 

Private Journalist and media outlets are blamed; after the recent general election of October 29 marred by violence and protests, media outlets criticized for their biases coverage. Still Tanzanians use social media to express dissatisfaction and frustration.
